Sarah, on the other hand, had been feeling neglected. Jack was distant, often lost in thought when they were together. She sensed that something was amiss but couldn't quite put her finger on what it was. One evening, as they were preparing dinner together, she confronted him.
Sarah looked at him, hurt but also understanding. "I know what you mean. I've been feeling it too. But we need to work on this together."
